I'm selling a $2000/month HR analytics tool to a 200-person manufacturing company. The VP of HR agreed to a demo on Thursday. I've never sold to manufacturing before. What should I know before the call?

A bigger competitor just showed up in your deal.
The prospect just told me they're also looking at BambooHR. We're smaller and cheaper but they said BambooHR "feels safer." How do I position against them?
Routes to Levie (challenger positioning vs. incumbents). The response:
  • Don't trash BambooHR. Reframe the decision entirely.
  • "BambooHR is built for companies that already know what they need. You're still figuring out what manufacturing HR analytics looks like. You need a partner that builds WITH you, not a platform you configure yourself."
  • The specific question to ask: "What happens in 6 months when you need a feature BambooHR doesn't have?"
You use the reframe on the next call. The prospect stops comparing features and starts comparing relationships.

Next week
You need to set pricing for a new tier and you're guessing.
We're launching an enterprise tier. Currently we charge $2000/month. Thinking $5000/month for enterprise with dedicated support. Is that right?
Routes to Lemkin (pricing). The response:
  • $5000 is too low. Your support cost alone eats the margin at that price.
  • Rule: enterprise should be 3-5x standard, not 2.5x. Charge $8,000-10,000/month.
  • Add a $5,000 one-time onboarding fee — enterprise buyers expect it and it qualifies serious buyers.
  • If they say it's expensive, you're talking to the wrong level. VP signs $8K/month without procurement. Director can't.
You raise the price before launching. The first enterprise deal closes at $9,000/month. One deal pays for the pack 30x over.

Do I need to pay for the Anthropic API on top of this?
Yes. The pack uses your own Anthropic API key — that's how it keeps your conversations local and how we avoid charging you a monthly subscription. Anthropic charges roughly $3 per million input tokens for Claude Sonnet 4.5 and $15 per million for Claude Opus 4.6. A typical sales question costs less than 2¢. Heavy daily use is usually under $5/month.
When will the macOS version ship?
v0.2.0, target 4-6 weeks. Mac requires a separate build and an Apple Developer ID for code signing. If you want to be notified when it ships, email hello@clskills.in. If you bought today, you get the Mac upgrade free.
Can I use it across my team?
Pre-order and Standard tiers are single-user licenses. The Enterprise tier is unlimited team use, and the custom skill files are written specifically for your company so the whole team benefits. If you're between Standard and Enterprise, just email me and I'll figure out the right structure.
What if it doesn't work for my use case?
For Enterprise custom skills, reply to your purchase email and I’ll rewrite them until they hit the mark.
